Rebecca Granatstein LCSW-C, attended The University of Maryland, then graduated with her B.A. in psychology from NYU. She went on to obtain her Masters in Social Work from Florida State University, where she specialized in clinical psychotherapy.
Rebecca worked as a therapist and case manager at Edgemeade Residential Treatment Center in Prince Georges County, MD helping adolescents for 14 years. Before that, she treated elementary school children at Child Guidance Center in Jacksonville, FL.
She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland, and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She has special training in rape counseling and hypnosis.
Rebecca founded A Caring Place in 2002 in order to provide an outpatient psychotherapy environment where clients would feel nurtured and respected. She believes strongly in the individual rights of her clients.
Rebecca believes that no two individuals need the exact same treatment. Over the years, Rebecca has honed her skills in many modalities of treatment, including cognitive, humanistic and artistic therapy. She will design a course of treatment to meet your unique needs
